A weekend packraft float with Idaho Outdoors on the Owyhee River. Sixteen river miles along pristine high desert meanders carved out of volcanic rhyolite up 1000 feet deep in places. Tranquility, serenity and an adventure made for a lovely May trip. Thanks to my four Boise companions Erik, Teri, Mike and Kristy, for this visit to one of the newest wilderness areas in the country.
