A month exploring Arctic Svalbard on the National Geographic Explorer in search of Polar Bear. In a land where the sun never set for my entire assignment, we chased the retreating sea ice to well above 80 degrees North latitude. Arctic fox, Svalbard Reindeer and millions of sea birds, all under a dense mat of micro vegetation making the most of the short but intense Arctic Summer.
